The automatic potentiometric titrator is an analytical instrument designed based on the principle of potentiometric titration and is used for volumetric analysis.
The principle of potentiometric titration is: select an appropriate indicator electrode and reference electrode to form a working cell with the test solution. As the titrant is added, the concentration of the measured ion continuously changes due to chemical reactions, causing the potential of the indicator electrode to change accordingly. Near the titration endpoint, the concentration of the measured ion changes abruptly, resulting in a sharp jump in the electrode potential. Therefore, the titration endpoint can be determined based on this abrupt change in electrode potential.
